league 2022.11.14   I   hits 828

Among the top 20 players in K League 2, seven are forwards, six from midfield and defence, and just one goalkeeper. Who are they? Let's take a look.

K League 2 champions Gwangju FC's Brazilian ace Reis sits top of the K League 2 Adidas Rankings with 60,979 points. Gwangju also have defender Ahn Young-kyu and Park Han-bin in the top ten, sitting in eighth and ninth respectively.

Behind Reis is the league's top goalscorer in 2022, Yoo Kang-hyun of Chungnam Asan, in second, Daejeon Hana Citizen captain Cho Yu-min in third, Bucheon FC 1995's Nilson Junior in fourth, and Jonathan Moya of FC Anyang in fifth.

Yoo Kang-hyun was the top-ranked out-and-out striker with 56,018 points. His goal tally of 19 and two assists earned him 35,990 points.

Reis was the top tanked midfielder and his performances in 2022 had a hugely positive effect on the time, ultimately leading to the title and promotion back to K League 1. By category, Reis' attacking actions earned him 25,390 points, his construction or passing earned him 13,626, and his defensive actions 13,350 - all above 10,000. Ries scored three penalties for 1,650 points, nine goals from open play for 14,400 points, 37 shots on target for 5,500 points, and two goals from inside the area for 2,000 points.

Meanwhile, Daejeon Hana Citizen centre back Cho Yu-min, who captained his team to promotion via the playoffs, sat third with 48,259. But as well as being one of the best defenders in the division, Cho also managed to score six goals throughout the regular season, five of which were via headers, showing his impressive leap and danger from set pieces.

FC Anyang goalkeeper Jeong Min-ki, meanwhile, is the top-ranked goalkeeper in K League 2 and is seventh overall. In fact, he's the only goalkeeper in the top ten. He conceded the second-fewest goals in the division with 41. His total points tally is 43,447, helped by 60 punches (12,000), 59 catches (14,750), one penalty save at 2,000 points, and 17 cleansheets at 13,600 points.
