Albania 2-0 Poland, Monday 11th September - UEFA Euro qualifier
Gwangju FC winger Jasir Asani scored in Albania's 2-0 Euro qualifier win over Poland on Sunday, finding the net in the 37th minute and in stunning fashion. Asani picked the ball up on the right flank, cut in onto his left foot before firing the ball into the top corner from way out. It was the second goal for Albania from just five caps. Up next is Czech Republic in another Euro qualifier on Tuesday.
South Korea U23 1-0 Kyrgyzstan U23, Saturday 9th September
A K League-heavy South Korea U23 side got its AFC U23 Asian Cup qualifying campaign up and running on Saturday with a 1-0 win over Kyrgyzstan U23. Pohang Steelers winger Hong Yun-sang scored the game's only goal, sweeping in from close range with just three minutes on the clock. Korea now sit top of Group B and look on course to qualify.
Nine of the starting 11 are on the books of K League clubs: Kim Jeong-hoon (Jeonbuk), Cho Seong-gwon (Gimpo), Cho Wi-je (Busan), Park Chang-woo (Jeonbuk), Lee Tae-seok (FC Seoul), Oh Jae-hyeok (Jeonbuk), Paik Sang-hoon, (FC Seoul), Hong Yun-sang (Pohang), and Kim Sin-jin (FC Seoul).
Min Gyeong-hyeon (Incheon), Eom Ji-sung (Gwangju), Lee Jin-yong (Daegu), and Heo Yool (Gwangju) came off the bench. Up next is Myanmar on Tuesday at 8 PM KST
Montenegro 2-1 Bulgaria, Monday 11th September - UEFA Euro qualifier
Incheon United star Stefan Mugoša came off the bench in Montenegro's 2-1 Euro qualifier win over Bulgaria. With the score at 1-1, Mugoša replaced Marko Bakić in the 84th minute, just a few minutes before fellow substitute Stevan Jovetić found a 96th-minute winner. The win moves the Brave Falcons up to third in Group G, just two points behind Hungary and Serbia. Up next is Lebanon in a friendly at home on October 12th
Azerbaijan 0-1 Belgium, Saturday 9th September - UEFA Euro qualifier
Daejeon Hana Citizen defender Anton Kryvotskyuk played the full 90 minutes in Azerbaijan's narrow home loss to Belgium. Anton played at left centre back in a five, showed 86% passing accuracy, made three clearances, three recoveries, and one block.
