For the 11th year in a row, K League has been ranked as the top league in Asia by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS).

IFFHS's recent rankings for the year of 2021 place K League in 22nd among the world's top professional football leagues and the highest among other leagues in Asia.

For 2021, K League received a score of 577.5, ahead of J.League at 449 (34th overall), Iran's Persian Gulf League with 404 (40th), and Saudi Arabia's top league with 362 points (48th).

The top-ranked league in the world for 2021 was Brazil's Serie A with 1,406 points ahead of the English Premier League with 1,204 and Italy's Serie A with 1,060.

Meanwhile, IFFHS places K League's Ulsan Hyundai as Asia's top-ranked club in 61st. Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors are ranked 101st alongside Japan's Kawasaki Frontale. 

Daegu FC are ranked 144th and Pohang Steelers 152nd.
